An All Progressives Congress, APC, Chieftain and member of the Presidential Campaign Council. PCC, in Delta State Mr. Evans Oyewale Omatsogunwa has appealed to Itsekiris to cast their votes for the APC gubernatorial candidate for Saturday, March 11th, 2023 election, noting that Ovie Omo-Agege is the best candidate to bring the much needed development to Iwereland without bias.
Evans who spoke to newsmen at his residence in Warri said Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege has Itsekiri blood running in his vein with an Itsekiri DNA, saying that though the Deputy Senate President, DSP, Omo-Agege currently represent Delta Central Senatorial district in the Red Chamber at Abuja he has taken light to the long forgotten oil producing Ebokiti community in the riverine area and has also transform the Nana Living History Museum at Koko, built a functional Skills Acquisition Centre at oil-rich Omadino Community and currently erecting solar electricity poles at Ureju community.
Evans who also is the chairman Joel Onowakpor- Thomas senatorial campaign council Delta south senatorial district revealed that Omo-Agege has promised to build a state-of-the-art Hospital in the Itsekiri riverine area to cater for the their health care needs, just as he said that the DSP will move a campus of one of the tertiary institutions in the Capital Asaba, to Koko to justify the huge financial contribution of Itsekiri nation to the financial wellbeing of not only Nigeria in general but Delta state in particular including building the long abandoned Koko stadium for sport development in the area.
The APC stalwart asked Itsekiris to disregard the trending social media audio clips painting OMO-Agege as being anti-Itsekiri with evil plans to undo the Itsekiris, saying that it is the handiwork of the PDP who are already jittering of the influence, force and determination of the APC to sweep them from power after an inglorious 24-years in the saddle with nothing to show Deltans for all the huge revenue coming into the state coffers from the Federal Allocation and Internally Generated Revenue.
He further revealed that Omo-Agege will pursue the age-long Koko-Oghoye and Omadino-Escravos-road projects if elected the governor with their votes come Saturday 11th March, 2023 saying that Omo-Agege is a silent achiever that does not brag about his achievement and will not set out to undo the Itsekiri people in any way.
While expressing sadness that the PDP government has made all Deltans yet unborn an unwilling debtor because of the continued borrowing by Governor Okowa, emphasized that to cast any vote for PDP is to vote for continuous suffering and giving Okowa a 3rd term in office and it is unacceptable because the APC is determined to change the narratives this time around because Okowa is a woeful failure that has no good legacies for anyone to build on, even as he has turn all the thugs in the state to his personal assistants and rewarding them with undeserving political offices that prevents them from working to genuinely earn a sustainable means of livelihood.
