LAGOS-Two ladies, Grace Akpan, and Onobong Lucky, who allegedly stabbed each other while fighting over a boyfriend have been arraigned before a Yaba Magistrate Court, Lagos.
The women were arraigned on a four-count of assault, public fighting and breach of peace.
The fight, it was gathered, took place at a beer parlour on October 2, 2011 at Olorunfunmi Street, Owonronshoki area of Lagos State.
According to the prosecutor, Insp. Rita Momoh, the said beer parlour was where the duo’s boyfriend went to drink and that it was Onobong, who first pulled a knife, which led to the fight, where Grace stabbed Onobong on the head.
The prosecutor told the court that the alleged offences contravened Sections 83, 249 and 355 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Lagos State.
The accused persons pleaded not guilty to the charge preferred against them. Trial Magistrate, M. O. Tanimola, admitted them to bail in the sum of N50, 000 with one surety each in like sum.
Further hearing on the case was adjourned till October 26, 2011.
