Lagos – A 34-year-old housewife was on Monday arraigned at a Somolu Magistrates’ Court, Lagos for allegedly pouring hot water on her neighbor, following a misunderstanding.
The accused, Tina Chukwudi, is facing a three-count charge of breach of peace, threatening violence and wounding her neighbour .
The prosecutor, Mr Akinlabi Adegoke said that the accused threatened and went ahead to pour hot water on one Mrs Lilian Otuji, causing her bodily harm.
He said the offence, which was committed on Oct. 12 at No 10, Alhaji Alimi St., Ilaje, Bariga, contravened Sections 249 (D), 86, and 338 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Lagos State 2003.
The accused pleaded not guilty.
The magistrate, Mrs Bola Osunsanmi, granted the accused a N100, 000 bail with two sureties in like sum and adjourned the case till Nov. 28 for further hearing. (NAN)
