UGHELLI—A Delta State High Court sitting in Ughelli has stopped Mr. Agaovwe Ofugbeya from parading himself as Odion-elect of Uwheru Kingdom.
Granting an interim application by Chief Clarkson Ununugbe, trial judge, Justice G. Akperi, also restrained the Otota of the kingdom, Mr. Efa Igberedjor, from installing the said Mr. Ofobeye as the Odion of the kingdom.
The judge ordered: “Accordingly, I make an interim order restraining an installation ceremony of the 1st defendant (Ofobeye) by the other defendants, their agents or servants pending the hearing of the motion on notice.
“It is further ordered that should this application be without merit, the applicant is to pay N200,000 as damage.”
