Eagles’ striker Ekigho Ehiosu refused to share in the belief that the prediction of Pastor TB Joshua caused the downfall of the Eagles.
The former Warri Wolves’ goal getter, stated that the players simply ‘messed up’ and for him it was a painful experience as he was looking forward to playing in his first Nations Cup.
“The coach did his best, he wouldn’t come into the field and play. We the players really messed up.
Ehiosun who recently joined the Euro league playing for Turkey’s Samsunspor added that it was a pity that Nigeria is not going to the nations cup.
“I’m really pained because this should have been my first Nations Cup and I am really unhappy that we couldn’t get the result to go to the Nations Cup,” said Ehiosun after the game last Saturday.
“My hope was high before the kick-off. We are really sorry for disappointing Nigerians. It was a sad day for me and my colleagues.”
