PORT HARCOURT – WITH court dismissal of all attempts to deny candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Tonye Cole, as flag bearer for the 2023 governorship election in Rivers state, party chieftain, Joe Korka-Waadah, has said no other force can stop Cole from emerging next governor of the state.

Korka-Waadah, Canada based Political Management consultant and prominent diaspora voice of Rivers APC in his New Year reflections on Rivers 2023 elections, told the electorate that in Cole and APC, they don’t have a better chance to end Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) hegemony of “government of repression” in the state.

He said to Rivers people, “The new year brings many new possibilities. It is not debatable that majority of us are fed up with PDP hegemony of repression and segregation in the state. It is also common knowledge that the APC is the only potent platform to sweep out the PDP that has overstayed its welcome.

“To put the APC on the path to victory, we must tell our people the good news that our gubernatorial candidate Pastor Tonye Cole and all APC candidates will be on the ballot.

“Rivers people must understand that the inordinate plan of Wike and the PDP to deny our party the space to contest the coming elections have all failed. It is rather the PDP in Rivers state that doesn’t have a credible gubernatorial candidate in the next election.

“We know these past eight years have been difficult but there is reason to be optimistic. With Tonye Cole as your governor, you will be put back to the control of your lives. The APC would remove that obstacle that has held you captive for the past seven years.

“All Rivers electorate need now is to ensure everyone holds tight to his or her PVC. The days of votes not counting are over. Together we will vote Cole, the proven technocrat and all APC candidates in Rivers to takeover and lead our blessed state on the path of accelerated growth that genuinely brings prosperity to all Rivers people.

“Rivers people want a government that will turn hurt into hope. A government milked in human kindness. An APC government with Tonye Cole at the helm will be that government.”
