CHristian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Kosofe branch of Lagos State has appointed publisher of the devotional, Our Daily Manna, Pastor Chris Kwakpovwe as its patron, at the inauguration of a 14-man executive council to pilot its affairs, reports Bose Adelaja.

The induction service which took place at Manna Prayer Mountain, Lagos, attracted eminent Nigerians includ-ing former Edo State governor, Senator Oserheimen Osunbor and CAN General Secretary in Lagos, Arch-bishop George Amu who represented the state chairm-an. In a message titled; A glorious new beginning, Amu tasked the new exco to spread the gospel of peace and help others, especially those in distress.

“We Christians are being intimidated by a series of manipulations, however, you will be what God has dest-ined you to be. You must learn to forgive and never bear grudges,” he cautioned.

Responding, Pastor Kwakpovwe said “our task is to help the Body of Christ, especially in bringing unity to Kosofe branch and we pray that God gives us the grace to discharge the duties effectively.”
