Let’s tolerate one another Edo – PDP

By Simon Ebegbulem, Benin
AS the nation marks its 51st Independence Day celebration, the Edo state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)  has urged Nigerians to tolerate one another and called for peaceful co-existence among the various ethnic groups in the country.

A statement from its Publicity Secretary, Matthew Uroghide, yesterday said the country should explore the potentials in its large ethno-religious disposition and  re-enact its commitment to the ideals of the democratic process and national cohesion that has been initiated by the federal government.

It commended the people of the state for their “resilience in the face of biting economic hardship, general insecurity, youth unemployment and prohibitive tax regime.”

It further  urged the people of the state to be steadfast “in the hope for a better tomorrow” just as he said they should live together irrespective of their political and religious differences.
