BriscoeFord joins in making ‘world of difference’

As part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme, BriscoeFord employees stormed the Onigbongbon Local Council Development Council Area of Lagos to create awareness and educate the citizenry on the menace of malaria.

This was part of Ford Motors Global Week of caring activities which held from September 10 to 18 across the globe involving thousands of the companys volunteers devoting their time to ease pressing needs in the local towns or villages.

The volunteers are working to better the globe by feeding the hungry, renovating schools, repairing shelters, protecting critical water resources, planting trees and much more.

The years marks the 6th annual Ford global week according to BriscoeFord officials.

We are embracing our role as citizens of the global community and sharing our time to make a difference in the Lagos Mainland area. We are committed to making the world better place by helping to improve peoples communities where they live, work and play said the General Manager, BriscoeFord, Mr. Oseme Oigiagbe.

Last year, during this one week in September, nearly 13,000 Ford employees and retirees volunteered an impressive 45,000 hours in 41 countries on six continents. The dedicated volunter efforts helped to tourch more than 1.5 million lives.

In Nigeria, BriscoeFord focused on reducing the scourge of HIV/AIDS by donating retroviral drugs, food and other relevant items to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital. This was in conjunction with the Lagos State Ministry of Health, Society for Family Health and Federal Road Safety Commission.

Throwing weight behind the local dealership efforts, Mr.Mike Simon, Parts and Service Director for Ford Export operations, said Ford’s legacy of caring dates back to the company’s founding more than 100 years ago and it is gratifying to see this generation of employees embrace that history with their eyes on the future. We are one Ford in any language and proud of our contributions to creating a better world.
