LAGOS—Adoyi Alashe Chieftaincy Family has petitioned the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, over illegal sale of their lands by some land speculators.

The petitioners stated that they are the accredited members representing the three major branches of the Adoyi Alashe Chieftaincy Family, alleging that there was conspiracy to deprive them of their land.

The petition, dated September 15, 2011, was signed by Chief Lasisi Arubo, Mr. Tajudeen Arubo, Kareem Arubo, Alhaja Kudiratu Onishile, Mr. Adesina Onisile and Alhaja Oluwatoyin Onisile.

the petitioners urged the police to invite one Kabiru Olorunfemi, Adioye, Dr. Ore Falomo and others at large over the allegation.

The petitioners said proceeds of the sale of the land were kept in a non-conventional bank.

The family stated that in July 2007, a similar petition was written to Economic and Financial Crimes Commission  and that they were directed to report the matter to the police for proper investigation.

The petitioners stated that they are the owners of Adoyi land at Anthony Village, Maryland, Wasimi (Onigbongbo) and its environs.The said Adoyi Alashe land forms part of Mushin, Ikeja and  Somolu districts.

The locations include Anthony Ojuwoye, Adams/Degi, Maryland, Wasimi (Onigbongbo), Moshebi, Idiroko-Maryland, Igbobi Eko, Adaranijo, Pedro, Bajulaye, Bashua-Oja, Bariga, Soluyi, Somolu, Onipanu, Igbobi-Sabe, Morocco, Anthony Dogo, Okealo, Mende, Abule-Ijesa, Oworonsoki up to the Lagoon.
