Diya charges leaders on good governance

LAGOS-FORMER Chief of General Staff, Lt. General Oladipo Diya (rtd) has implored political leaders to avoid wasteful spending and ensure their investments are responsive to the yearnings and aspirations of the citizens, urging the government to improve power supply in the country without further delay.

He spoke on “Make Nigeria proud in your respective callings at all times” while commissioning Adefuye Mansions in Lagos.

Diya noted that stable power “is the back bone of every economy and advance meaningful humane policies and roadmap that will improve the life of the people.”

He enjoined the elites especially those in authority to be good ambassadors both within and outside Nigeria and live a life worthy of emulation.

Earlier, Senator Anthony Adefuye, the host, wondered why Nigerians should suffer in the midst of plenty and urged Nigerians to rediscover their talents and strive toward National development.

He Commended Governor Fashola administration for “good governance and improvement of infrastructures in the state” and tasked other leaders to emulate him.

Present at the occasion were the former Minister of Industries, Chief Mrs. Nike Akande, former Ogun State Military Administrator, Chief Akintonde, and Lagos State Commissioner for Housing, Hon. Bosun Jeje, Commissioner for Home Affairs and Culture, Hon. Oyinlomo Danmole and the Former Lagos State Deputy Governor, Prince Abiodun Ogunleye, and other Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, political chieftains.
