THE Council of Manging Directors of Licensed Customs Agents, NCMDLCA, has called for the quick cancellation of the concession agreement Federal Government went into through the Federal Ministry of Finance with Single Windows System Technology Limited.

NCMDLCA’s President Mr Lucky Amiwero said that the entire economy will adversely be affected should the government go ahead with the contract.

“we make bold to say that no matter how far one may have gone on the wrong direction, it is never too late to go back.

“Re awarding a fresh contract when an existing one is running successfully and making the Nigeria Customs Service a toy of ministry officials is unfortunate.

“We followed events at the recently held public hearing put together by the Ad-Hoc Committee of the House of Representatives to investigate the issue and revelations that emanated from the event revealed a total disregard for due process, lack of sincerity of purpose and above all, an attempt by very insincere individuals to milk our national economy and take backward by several years”, he stated
