Etsu Nupe lauds Kanaz Academy over free training center in Niger

The Etsu Nupe and Chairman of the Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, HRH, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, has commended the management of Kanaz Entertainment, for its decision to establish a tuition free entertainment academy in state.

The monarch who played host to the founder of Kanaz group, Mr. Nnabueze Kanife, and veteran Nollywood actor, Mr. John Okafa ( Mr. Ibu), in his Abuja residence recently, described the gesture as a welcome development.

While expressing joy over the siting of the academy, the royal father promised to rally prominent citizens from the state to support the project, assuring the people especially the youths of a new dawn.

Earlier, the founder of Kanaz, Mr. Nnabueze Kanife, said the project which was the first of its kind in Niger State and Nigeria, would train about 4,000 entrepreneurs annually.

This, according to him, would promote and showcase the culture, language and talents of the people to the world, while reducing all forms of vices such as cultism, prostitution, drug abuses, etc, amongst youths.

He disclosed that the organization is partnering with the Police Fights Against Cultism, Crime And Other Social Vices, POCCACOV, represented by the National Coordinator, Ebere Amaraizu.

Also speaking, the Nollywood legend, John Okafor, thanked the Etsu Nupe for accepting the proposal to build the academy and his interest in Niger State’s youths and assured the traditional ruler of cooperation from his celebrity colleagues.
