Assistant Coach of Kwara United, Tunde Sanni has said that the cub were in top shape to finish amongst the top five teams in the current Nigerian Premier League season.

Making this known in chat with Inside Out Premier League, Sanni said the return of their players from national teams duties and overseas trials will do the team a world of good in the last four games of the season.

“For the remaining games of the season, we hope that it goes well with us on and off the pitch, as we are poised to finish amongst the top five teams at least, knowing full well that, we can’t get any continental slot. A top five finish will boost the players’ morale ahead of the start of the next season.

“Most of our players who were in the various national teams, like the Beach Eagles, have returned back to the team, same with those who went on trials. This is a welcome development as we will easily sharpen up for the matches ahead. We hope to utilize their fitness ahead of the start of the remaining matches”, added  Sanni.
