Wamakko’s support for the election of Tambuwwal, an indigene of the state was the first public support by any top notcher of the party as the leadership opposed it for being against the PDP’s zoning policy.
He said: “If our great party must continue to enjoy the support of the people, leaders of all shades must be truthful and have the fear of God in all they do.

Earlier, Northwest Zonal Vice Chairman of the PDP, Ambassador Ibrahim Musa Kazaure disclosed that the party would register new members into the party and also re-new membership cards for those who had lost them, adding that “it is only with the membership cards that members could elect whoever they so wish to represent them at all levels of party offices.”
