IKEJA – Lagos State Government, yesterday, charged Community Development Associations, CDAs, to report any suspicious movement in their communities to nearest government authorities for prompt action.
Commissioner for Rural Development, Mr. Cornelius Ojelabi, made the call, while presenting six 4.5 KVA generating sets to six rural communities in the state, to provide proper illumination for their areas as well as enable them pump water from the Type ‘A’ water scheme given to them by government.
Ojelabi said the move became necessary in view of insecurity across the country.
According to the him, nowhere can be considered a safe haven, not even churches and mosques as insecurity had crept in, adding “we want to call on you to be security conscious.
He said : “If you notice any strange face in your environment, cry out to us and we will act.
Don’t rely on rumours. Pease, investigate and analyse information before given them out to us.”
