IKEJA—As the three-day warning strike by workers of Lagos Television and Eko FM, over the non- implementation of the N18, 700 consolidated wage structure entered day two, yesterday, the workers accused Governor Babatunde Fashola of insensitive to their plight.
The workers expressed disappointment at the attitude of the governor on the matter.
One of the workers, who pleaded anonymity, said: “The governor is insensitive to our plight. Up till now, he has not deemed it fit to address us, with what I am seeing, the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN is not better than the People’s Democratic Party PDP.
Another worker said: “Fashola is not even paying the N18,000 minimum wage. What he is paying is N12,500.
“Attempts by management of both stations to recruit consultants to run the stations as part of effort to frustrate the strike will hit the brick wall.”
