My daughter’s sickness has turned into a beggar, and I don’t want her to die. I’m begging Nigerians and all people of goodwill to help me. I’m begging Anambra State governor, Mr. Peter Obi, President Goodluck Jonathan and his wife to come to my aid,” he said.

Currently, poor Cynthia is undergoing dialysis, and each session of it costs about N25,000. “ She undergoes dialysis about three times in a week to assist kidney function. Initially, when I could no longer afford to pay for her dialysis, members of my Catholic church group, from my native town, helped to raise some money for me to foot the bills,” he went on.

Uche said before Cynthia’s ordeal started, he had a noble dream of training her up to the university level despite the odds. “I want her to become a doctor, live a fulfilled life and later be of help to the family in future. But now, all these dreams will become a mirage with her present state of health.”
