Organisers of the popular TR35 awards, Technology Review magazine, last week selected Nigerian born Yemi Adesokan and founder of Pathogenica, Inc. as one of the Award recipients for 2011 edition.

The TR35 recognizes the world’s top innovators under the age of 35, who spanning energy, medicine, computing, communications, nano-technology, and other emerging fields.

Adesokan is been honoured for his work in the application of next generation sequencing to clinical diagnostics and was selected as a member of the TR35 class of 2011 by a panel of expert judges and the editorial staff of Technology Review, who evaluated more than 300 nominations.

He will join other TR35 honorees in discussing their achievements at the emtech MIT 2011 conference, taking place at the MIT Media Lab in Cambridge October 18-19, 2011.

With this award, Adesokan will be joining the league of the likes of Larry Page and Sergey Brin (founders of Google), Jonathan Ive (designer of the iMac, and later the iPod and iPad), and Mark Zuckerberg (creator of Facebook).
