On his part, Governor Orji said worst roads in Abia State were federal roads, especially Okigwe down to PortHarcourt; Umuahia to Ikot-Ekpene; Ohafia to Abibiriba; Owerri/Aba road; Aba/PortHarcourt Road, among others.

He said:   “In a bid to make our roads motorable, we have committed some funds to working on the federal roads. The Ministry is owing us N9 billion for federal roads that we have rehabilitated and we will appreciate if the money can be made available to us so we can continue to use it to work in the state.”
