John Holt Plc has introduced into the fire services sector two highly sophisticated Rosenbauer superstructure fire fighting trucks, as part of its determination to improve fire and safety solutions in the country.
The state-of-the-art fire fighting ULF 1100/250 Crew Cab is a new technology of Rosenbauer of Austria.
John Holt has been in strategic partnership with Rosenbauer over the years and has been the sole marketer and distributor of Rosenbauer fire equipment of different kinds in Nigeria.
The fire fighting trucks, introduced mainly to serve the needs of the aviation industry and the Oil and Gas sector, houses an 11,000 litres water tank capacity, with provision for 4,000 litres of foam concentrates.
Prior to the commissioning of the trucks, the company organised various intensive training workshops on their use and effective operation.
Speaking at one of these training sessions, General Manager, Fire and Safety Solutions, Mr. Kris Nwachukwu, said that John Holt is noted for regular training and retraining of its personnel and clients in the use of their sophisticated fire and safety solution equipments as in the case of the latest technology.
He said the need for regular training cannot be over emphasized in view of the technicalities and innovative nature of the fire fighting products.
One of the Rosenbauer representatives at the training session, Mr Roland Loitz, also stated that the fire fighting products were accepted all over the world.
