Lubricant Producers Association of Nigeria (LUPAN), have resolved to checkmate the activities of producers and marketers of faked and adulterated lubricants in the economy.
In the meeting, held at their national secretariat in Lagos, they agreed to live up to the challenge of substandard lubricants being sold in the markets.
The house was informed that some illegal mushroom blenders of lubricants are in the habit of using the factory of some recognized blenders, who act as third party blenders to churn out substandard products into the market.
Mr. Babalola Oyeyemi of Ammasco International Limited, reiterated the commitment of his company to stamp out the menace of fake products, saying that is capable of negatively impacting on the dignity of authentic blenders.
He highlighted the disadvantages of such products to the engines of vehicles; stating that it will be both religiously and ethically wrong to fold their hands and watch dubious people cheat unsuspecting consumers.
He also gave insight into the high quality production processes in the Ammasco factory that warrants the fight against counterfeit products.
He advised members of LUPAN to be active to the call and take part in driving the committee drawn from the stakeholder’s forum.
He opined that Ammasco International Limited is one of the biggest and fastest growing lubricants manufacturing plant in Nigeria, located in the commercial city of Kano.
Its ultra modern lubricant plant produces all brands of lubricants and allied products ranging from, Automotive Lubricants, Industrial Lubricants, Marine Lubricants, Grease and Allied Products.
