A statement by the Bauchi State Director of Press, Maigari M. Khanna, stated that  state Government has dispatched enough buses to Maiduguri to ensure that no citizen from the state was left behind.

Khana however, urged parents and guardians not to panic, as their children who were studying in Borno State will return home safely.

The government noted that students studying at the government girls secondary Schools will not be among the returnees as they are currently writing their examinations, but assured that their safety had been guaranteed by their school authorities, who would convey them back home as soon as they finished their examinations.

The government reiterated its commitment towards protecting the lives and property of its residents, wherever they are were and called on the people to be law-abiding.
