Dolphins’ manager Stanley Eguma is upbeat that the Port Harcourt side will still win the 2010/2011 premier league title.

Dolphins currently share the top spot with Sunshine Stars on 60 points respectively though behind the Akure team on goals difference.

He said that his absence will not stop Dolphins from clinching the league diadem at the end of the season insisting that Dolphins’ second spot on the log needs not cause panic.

Eguma spends more time with the national Under-23 team, where he is an assistant coach.

“There is nothing to worry at the moment, my absence will not cause the team the league title because I have a good foundation in the team and the fact that we are second now does not mean that we have lost focus. “

“We are still focus. we are still optimistic and do not forget that we have a game in hand and by the time we play that, we would be able to know our place on the log.” Eguma emphasized that there are about eight games to round off the season and all the remaining games are crucial and will decide where the crown will rest.

“We still have a few matches to play, I think about eight matches to end the season, and anything can happen in those eight games.”
“So we are not losing sleep, we are not losing hope, we are just second on goal difference but I assure you that we will bounce back to the top spot,” he enthused.

Dolphins have a tough road trip away at fourth placed Kano Pillars in Kano at the weekend and the outcome will be crucial to both teams’ aspiration on the league.
