Awka – The Anambra State chairman of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA),Akunwata Kwentoh has criticised the former Governor of the state, Dr. Chris Ngige for his continued claim that the projects being completed by the administration of Governor Peter Obi were the projects he initiated.
According to the APGA chairman, Ngige says such things to attract attention whenever he perceives that he has been completely forgotten in Anambra state.
Kwentoh said that he has discovered that apart from alleged hired praise singers planted at occasions to sing praises of the former Governor whenever he enters the arena, the people of Anambra state had virtually forgotten him.
He described as unfortunate a situation whereby the former Governor, who had all along claimed that Governor Peter Obi was doing nothing and had abandoned all the projects he (Ngige) initiated, now claims that the projects the Governor completed were his.
Going by his logic, Kwentoh said, it means that the Governor started these projects three weeks ago to have completed them now. He urged Obi to intensify the advertisement of his projects for people to know what has happened in the state since he assumed office.
The APGA chieftain said that even in the brochure that contained the projects executed by the Governor, he explained those he started from the scratch such as the state secretariat, many roads, the Library, the stadia, the Business park, the Judges’ Quarters, Faculty Buildings in the State’s higher institutions and those he inherited from the previous administrations.
Some of the projects include the SEMA Building in Awka, the Ministry of Justice build
