Inspite of his expulsion from his professional body, the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV), Mr. Okoli Osita, a fellow of the institution and former national publicity secretary of the professional body has noted that he is still fully committed and dedicated to the institution which he wants see grow from strength to strength.

Mr. Osita who made this known at a press briefing in Lagos last week added that as a man of peace, he believes that peace, if truly embraced by everybody involved in the several cases pending in courts between him and the leadership of NIESV, the profession of estate surveying and valuation in the country will be better for it.

According to him, “there is need for everybody involved in cases before courts between me and the leadership of NIESV to sincerely embrace peace so that the profession can move forward and assume its rightful place locally and internationally.

The crisis rocking the institution in the past few years has affected a lot of things particularly in the area of international affiliations to relevant professional organizations. However, because I am still very committed to my professional body, that is why I am calling for peace as the only way forward for the institution.

In his reaction, NIESV’s president, Mr. Bode Adediji said his office is open as a God fearing fellow to everybody that wants to embrace peace because he is always on the side of peace.
