LAGOS – National Security Adviser, General Owoye Azazi (rtd), former Kwara State governor, Senator Bukola Saraki, and Mrs. Ifueko Omoigui-Okauru, Chairman, Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) are among experts expected to address a three-day strategic retreat organised by the Kwara State Government.

Also to speak  at the retreat which opens in Lagos today, is Professor Ken Ife, presidential aide and consultant to ECOWAS, World Bank and DFID.

Azazi is to talk on “Proactive Strategies for Managing and Maintaining State Security” while Okauru will speak on “State Funding and Internal Revenue Generation Options” designed to explore creative ways of augmenting statutory state allocations through internally-generated revenue.

Similarly,  Prof. Ife, will on “Alternative Perspectives to Revenue Generation”.

Other speakers, according to a statement by Dr. Muyideen Olufemi Akorede, Senior Special Assistant (Media and Communications) to Governor Ahmed, included “Prof. Siyan Malomo, Director-General, Nigerian Geological Survey Agency, Abuja; Ms. Evelyn Oputu, Managing Director, Bank of Industry and Dr. Amadu Kannike.” Other areas of discussion would include youth empowerment, solid mineral development, tourism, youth empowerment and Small and Medium Scale Enterprises.
