LATE Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO)of Emediong Nigeria Limited, Mr Victor Bassey, will in coming days be bestowed with a posthumous Nigerian National Legacy Awards (NNLA) in recognition of his enduring contribution to national development and statesmanship.

Hinting on the development yesterday at the 2021 NNLA inaugural symposium in Abuja, CEO of Emerging Nigeria, organizers of the award, Ovie Odubu, said the said NNLA Governing Board is committed to sustaining Bassey’s legacy with the Award for Transparency and Excellent Business Ethics.

Odubu who doubles as Executive Secretary of the NNLA Board said, “For years, Mr Bassey was a reputably committed statesman and devoted nation builder with proven excellence in his fields of endeavour. He was passionate about mentoring young Nigerians and raising the next generation of dynamic, innovative and principled young leaders who will transform Africa.

“He was a passionate professional, with sharp communication skills, team spirit, vastly educated, with extensive knowledge of current, economic, social and regulatory issues, and sundry valued attributes that placed him as a motivational manager with outstanding ability to develop successful visions for various companies and institutions he managed”

Born April 4th 1970, Bassey who hails from Akwa Ibom, a graduate of Engineering, founded Emediong Nigeria limited in 1999, exposing him to several opportunities that helped
position him for greater achievements, home and abroad.
