A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ika South Local Government Areas of Delta State, Mr. Jackson Amayo, has said the party’s victory in 2023 is not in doubt given the quality of its new leadership.

Amayo, founder of Jackson Amayo Foundation,JAF, specifically urged Nigerians to join hands with the party in rescuing the country from hardship being experienced under an All Progressives Congress, APC,-led administration.

In a statement made available to Vanguard, he hailed Senator Iyorchia Ayu and other members of the National Working Committee (NWC) for emerging victorious at the just concluded national convention of the party. 

In addition, Amayo commended what  he described as  the matured way the PDP organized its convention, saying the governors have proven that they are ready to give Nigerians a leadership that would ameliorate the suffering of the people.   

Describing the new NWC as a square peg in a square hole, the Abavo-born philanthropist, said he was fully convinced that Senator Ayu led PDP  would lead the party to victory in the 2023 general election. 

 He thanked the party delegates for electing a 25 year-old  Suleiman Muhammad as the National Youth Leader, just as he called on  party faithful to rally  round Ayu-led executives to enable them build a  formidable party.
