Officials of the Lagos State Board of Internal Revenue, yesterday, sealed up Air Nigeria’s headquarters office at Mobolaji Bank Anthony Way, Ikeja, Lagos for allegedly owing the board unspecified amount of outstanding taxes running into several millions of naira.

The officials, who stormed Air Nigeria at about 4.30pm, with mobile policemen, evicted the workers of the airline from the imposing Ettiebet Place, Ikeja.

Some of the workers contacted told Vanguard that the Lagos State Board of Internal Revenue came with two trucks load of about 50 policemen and evacuated all the airline workers from the 5th and 9th floor.

The embattled workers were said to have been forced to relocate to the car park behind the corporate building to await their fate.

The source  said that the airline management had failed to honour  directives  to pay its tax.
