Apart from the football match, over three hundred pupils from ten selected primary schools in Lagos will be showcasing their talents in other spheres such as cultural dances, drama and music.

The Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Mrs Joke Orelope-Adefulire will be the guest of honour at the event which will also be witnessed by senior management staff of the oil giants, SNEPco.

“The event is our own way of identifying with the leaders of tomorrow, in an entertaining way,” said SNEPCo Managing director, Chike Onyejekwe.

SNEPco Group Media manager, Tony Okonedo told the press in Lagos Tuesday that the company was alive to it’s social responsibilities.

“Apart from oil exploration, we have paid over N3billion in the last ten years and our company is involved in making the environment better in terms of education, health and other community related services,” Okonedo said, adding that the Shell Cup which has been on for the past ten years has been a huge success. “Today Shell Cup has become the premier youth football competition in the country.

This year’s children’s day is an improvement on last year’s and I am sure it will grow from strength to strength,” Okonedo said.
