PORT HARCOURT:  ANTI bomb squad of the Rivers state Police Command is to commence destruction of   explosive materials at Nowa/Tai area of the state.
 
 Appealing to residents in the local government not to panic at the sound of the explosives the state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ben Uguegbulam assured that the destruction would be handled by bomb experts.
 
Meantime, the Police have confirmed arrest of a notorious criminal in Bonny who allegedly stabbed a corps member in the area during the last voters registration exercise.

 The Police spokesman in the state said the suspect would be arraigned this week in court for sundry criminal charges.
