LEADERS of the Lagos State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have resolved to set aside their personal differences and rally support for its ministerial nominees.

Indications regarding this emerged during the week as the party’s leaders tasked President Goodluck Jonathan to pick a consensus candidate who could work effectively with him from Lagos.

Notable persons, who made the plea include a former Commissioner for Health in the state, Dr. Segun Ogundimu, former Works Minister, Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe, Chairman  Lagos PDP Elders Council, Dr. Yomi Finnih, South-West PDP Women Leader, Chief (Mrs) Nike Oluwole,  former Lagos State Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Chief Willy Akinlude and Chief Anthony Adefuye.

Ogundimu advised the president to choose a loyal party man and somebody with public service experience, which said contended  was expedient to get the best for the country and restore the lost glory of Lagos PDP.

His views were shared by  Ogunlewe, who denied sending a list of nominees for ministerial appointment.  He said he was after the appointment of persons who could help Jonathan ensure steady power supply in the country because with regular power supply, the country would realise her potentials.

On their part, Adefuye and Akinlude, urged President  Jonathan to appoint people like former House of Reps member, Hon. Moshood Salvador into his cabinet because of his experience, honesty and loyalty. Salvador is one of the 10 nominees fromLagos.

Indeed,  Oluwole tasked Jonathan to appoint persons with the fear of God.
