Skye Bank Plc has flagged off a sav-ings account promotion with the objective of increasing the number of savings accounts, increase the volume of the savings accounts as well as generate enormous goodwill for the bank.

Speaking at the media briefing to kick-start the promotion called the Skye Savers Promo in Lagos on Wednesday, the bank’s Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Kehinde Durosinmi-Etti, said the promo was a way of helping to entrench the savings culture among members of the public.

According to the Skye Bank boss, the promo’s target audience consisted of both existing and new savings account customers who would also be rewarded during the six months that the promo will run.

Customers who run any of Skye Save, Skye Wise, Skye Treasure and Skye Rainbow accounts are eligible to participate in the promo.

Durosinmi-Etti urged members of the public to take advantage of the promo to embrace the savings culture, noting that it would help them in building wealth for themselves and the nation.

He assured the customers of rewards and benefits during the period of the promo, stressing that quality prizes had been set aside for them as they participate in the programme.

While explaining how the promo would work, the bank’s Executive Director, South South/Retail Banking, Mrs Ibiye Ekong, explained that savers with a minimum deposit of N25,000 or maintaining an average balance of same, in any of the savings products, qualify to win a new Toyota Corolla car, while multiple deposits of N25,000.00 or more, increase the customer’s chances of winning.

According to Ekong, a minimum deposit of N25,000 or maintaining an average balance of same, in any of the products, throughout the promo period, qualifies a customer to win a brand new Toyota Prado Jeep.

Multiple deposit of N50, 000.00 or more increases the customer’s chances of winning.

She said draws to determine winners would be held every 30 days in the six zones of the country, namely Lagos, Ibadan, Abuja, Enugu, Kano, and Port Harcourt.

Apart from the six Toyota Corolla cars to be won at the regions and star prize of Toyota Prado jeep, there are several consolation prizes ranging from N1 million for 36 people, air conditioners, generators, LCD TV sets, mobile phones, among others.
