*PDP members in Idanre decamp to LP

AKURE-FACTIONS in the Ondo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, have forwarded three separate lists of nominees  political appointment to the National Secretariat of the party.

Sources within the three factions, told Vanguard that they had forwarded the lists to the National Secretariat of the party for appointment as ministers, special advisers and other appointment in the Boards and Parastatals.

This came as hundreds of PDP members in Idanre led by its former vice chairman in the local government, Mr Ayinuola Benson and Mr Allen Akingbesote defected to the ruling Labour Party, LP,  in the  state .

One of the factions is led by the former governor of the state, Dr Olusegun Agagu while the second faction is headed by the former governor’s former Finance Commissioner, Chief Tayo Alasoadura and the third faction led by a sitting Senator, Gbenga Ogunniya.

Initially the factions were two until the compilation of the list of nominees for political appointment from the state.

The Senator Ogunniya surfaced after some leaders felt they were short-changed by the other factions.
