Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) House of Assembly candidate for Oredo West Constituency, Edo State, Mr Raymond Enogieru, in the April 26 poll, yesterday, expressed his desire to contest the result of the election in court.
Enogieru, who rejected the result of the election, told newsmen in Benin City that there was evidence of electoral mal-practices in the constituency.
According to him, “having gathered reports by my party agents present at the various polling units on the day of election, we are aware of the actions of thugs and inducement of the electorate with money. I have resolved to challenge the outcome of the election result of the declared winner by INEC at the election tribunal.
“That the result which was declared in his favour circumvents the wishes of our people of Oredo West Constituency who massively voted for me in the state assembly election”.
