ENGLAND may quit FIFA unless the controversy-hit body cleans up its act, sports minister Hugh Robertson has warned.

He spoke following claims that four football federation delegates wanted bribes in return for backing the FA’s 2018 World Cup bid.Mr Robertson said: “I have taken the temperature from other football associations around the world.

Meanwhile, the man who secured the 2022 World Cup for Qatar yesterday denied the country paid for votes. Asian Football Confederation boss Mohamed Bin Hammam said: “Nothing like this has happened from our side.”
