A Lagos High Court, has been urged to reject a plea by a service provider company, XL Management Service Limited, asking the court to prevail on Bank PHB Plc from receiving the outstanding N25 million debt owed the bank.
The trial judge in the matter, Justice Morenike Obadina has adjourned till June 1, 2011 for the hearing of the motion on motice by XL Management and one of its director, Mr. Charles Nwodo, Jnr. after a fire outbreak in the court building prevented it from further hearing of the case.
XL Management and its director had prayed the court for leave “to pay the outstanding balance out of the judgment sum as contained in the ruling of Justice K. Jose delivered on October 13, 2010,” to Bank PHB, the judgment creditor within an extended period of time.
But the bank had told the court that the company was buoyant enough to pay its debt within a shot time.
