Yakowa dedicates victory to victims of post-election violence

Kaduna – Gov. Patrick Yakowa of Kaduna State, Friday, dedicated his victory to those, who died in the post-presidential election riot in the state

Yakowa was declared winner of the governorship election in the state by the Returning Officer, Prof. Abdullahi Mustapha.

Yakowa, the PDP candidate, won the contest with 1,334,317 votes, while Malam Haruna Sa’eed of CPC, scored 1,133,546 votes to place second.

Yakowa paid tribute to those who lost their lives during the crisis and prayed to God to grant them eternal rest.

 “This is not the time for victory celebration, the times call for sober reflections and appreciation of the power of the Almighty.’’

 He said the state government would reduce the pains and suffering of the families of the victims and called on the people to support his administration to enable it succeed.

The governor promised to fulfill his campaign promises to the people.
