Leader of Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, in Oyo State, Alhaji Lam Adesina said, yesterday, he would try to advice the governor-elect, Senator Abiola Ajimobi to drop moves to probe the outgoing governor.

Senator Ajimobi had hinted on Thursday that he would probe the administration of Governor Adebayo Alao-Akala from 2007 to date.

Speaking in Ibadan, Alhaji Adesina warned all the Local Government Caretaker  Chairmen against embarking on fresh projects at the twilight of the Akala government and should only be concerned with the payment of teachers and workers salaries.

He said the ACN would leave the EFCC to handle allegations of financial irregularities in the state and that the incoming governor would be given a free hand to run his government.

On the just concluded elections, he admitted it was not easy to push Governor Akala out.

He said, “it was not an easy success, but now that victory has come, it a sweet success. We will never pray for a mediocre administration like that of Akala again. When Ajimobi assumes office, you would see the extent of misrule the PDP has unleashed on our people”.

He dismissed the allegation by the governorship candidate of the Accord party, Senator Rashidi Ladoja that he was defeated because he could not match the spending power of the PDP and other opposition.

The party leader said it was Ladoja who used money to entice many of the members of the party especially in Ibadan North Est where voters had always been supporting progressive minded politicians since 1951.
