Preyor clinches Bomadi House of Assembly seat

The Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, candidate for the Bomadi  Local Government constituency seat in the Delta State House of Assembly, Engr. Preyor  Oboro, has been declared winner after a keenly contested poll.

The Returning Officer of the election, Prof. Festus Omeri  while declaring the election result at Bomadi Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, office, said Engr  Oboro scored 24,649 to defeat the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, member in the Delta State House of Assembly, Mr Reginald Donbraye,  who sought re-election for the fourth time, with 23,098 votes.

The ACN candidate also defeated Mr. Singabele Emmanuel of the Democratic Peoples Party, DPP, who polled 8521 to come third.

Speaking to newsmen after the results were released,  Oboro thanked the electorate for having confidence on him, promising to attract the dividends of democracy to the area.
