The Police have uncovered and detonated  2 devices suspected to be bombs in Burutu LGA in Delta state.

According to a statement from the Police PRO,a distress call was received by the Force regarding the devices suspected to be bombs in the Burutu Local Government chairman’s office. However, the Police quickly dispatched its men and successfully rendered the suspected bombs  safe.

 “Today the 26th of April 2011 DT7 EXPLOV ORDINANCE Devise Unit received a distress call that 2 bombs were placed at Burutu LG Chairma’s office. EOD Operatives were despatched to the scene and they successfully rendered the device safe.

“The device comprise of -One Nokia phone, one detonator, a dymanite, 2 litres of petrol inside Ragolis bottle water container in each device, all wrapped together with masking tape.”
