ELECTORATE in Delta State, have been called upon to learn from the history of electoral mistakes, where the political party that formed the government in a state was different from that which formed the government at the federal level.

According to Daniel Reyenieju, who represents the Warri Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, “we must avoid a repetition of such unpleasant situation.”

Speaking to a delegation of a women group, Warri Federal Constituency Women, who visited the federal lawmaker to congratulate him on his recent re-election into the House of Representatives, Reyenieju told the delegation that “the current electoral contests as encapsulated in the general elections were not yet over until the forthcoming gubernatorial election in which Deltans, irrespective of ethnic and political affiliations, including other primordial differences, must ensure that Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan, who is the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, candidate is re-elected.”
