Take your complain to tribunal, LP tells opposition

BY DAYO JOHNSON

AKURE – LABOUR Party, LP, in Ondo State yesterday dared the opposition parties in the state to go to the election petition tribunal to challenge the results of the National Assembly elections in the Southern Senatorial district area of the state.

Both the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, have threatened to challenge the results in which Hon Boluwaji Kunlere defeated the immediate past Governor Olusegun Agagu in the National Assembly election.

Chieftains of the party in the Southern Senatorial districts, Dr Pius Osanyikanmi and Hon Remi Olatubora, said the PDP could not fly in the election because the people of the state had rejected the party.

Osanyikanmi, speaking on the complaints of the PDP in respect of the votes from Ile Oluji/Okeigbo, especially ward 5 and 6 in Ile Oluji,  said that if the said votes were deducted the LP still won the poll in the area.
