IBADAN – APPEAL Court in Ibadan has reserved ruling on a motion filed by Counsel to Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Lateef Fagbemi, SAN, seeking to tender supplementary records in the on-going suit against the candidacy of Governor Adebayo Alao-Akala of Oyo State, in the April 26 governorship election.
In the substantive suit filed by Elder Wole Oyelese, Senator Lekan Balogun, Alhaji Yekini Adeojo and 34 others, praying the court to set aside earlier order by a lower court which ordered the Independent National Electoral Election, INEC, PDP to recognize Governor Alao-Akala and others as candidates of the party in the state because the lower court judge did not have any argument of counsel before vacating the order.
At the sitting of the court yesterday, the three-man panel led by the Presiding Justice, Hon. Justice Stanley Alagoa and assisted by Justices Sidi Bage and J. S. Ikyegh, said it would deliver its ruling on April 19, 2011.
