Nigeria Cricket National Team currently preparing for the World Cricket League Division 7 in Gaborone, Botswana and Africa Premier league in South Africa are expected to leave the shores of Nigeria aboard South African Airways on the 13th of April, 2011.

The squad comprises Fourteen players and two alternate players.

Eight from BRF Cricket Club who are Champions of Iris Smart Technology Club Cricket Committee League, Five from Government College Ibadan Old Boys Cricket Club with Two alternate players inclusive, Two from Federal Government College Warri Old Boys Cricket Club while the last represents newly promoted Foundation Cricket Club.

According to the General Manager/Chief Operating Officer of the Nigeria Cricket Federation Mr. George Wiltshire who confirmed the team’s movement, “Nigeria would go to South Africa on the 13th of April for a 2-week  training tour and then journey to Gaborone, Botswana on the 29th of April for WCL Division 7 match where they are to slug it out with countries like Kuwait, Germany, Botswana, Japan and Norway for a place in World Cricket League Division 6 in Malaysia in which two of the countries are expected to qualify for WCL Division 6.”
