FORMER governor of Ondo State, Dr Olusegun Agagu has called on the Inspector-General of Police to provide adequate security during the general elections.

Agagu, who is the senatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for Ondo South senatorial district, also raised alarm of alleged plans to disrupt the National Assembly elections on Saturday.
Speaking with Vanguard, the former governor alleged plans to arrest some PDP members from his district and at the same time cause violence during the election.

His words: “In my senatorial district for instance, I hear there are plans to hire thugs and on the day of elections, the thugs will come to areas where I am supposed to be very strong and chase people away, so that only few people will vote; or even voting in those areas will be cancelled.”
