LAGOS – A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos, Wednesday, struck out the suit by the Union Bank Plc against Global Fleet Oil and Gas Ltd, Union Registrars Ltd and the Corporate Affairs Commission.
The suit was struck out following a motion by the bank, seeking to discontinue the case against the parties.
The court held that the plaintiff had the right to discontinue the matter.
Union bank had filed the suit against four companies, their owner, Mr. Jimoh Ibrahim, over alleged N22.55 billion debt.
Trial judge, Justice Okon Abang, said, in his ruling: “Based on the notice to discontinue, the plaintiff’s case is hereby struck out.” He refused to award cost.
