AKURE -AHEAD of the rescheduled election, the Chairman of the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, in Ondo State, Mrs Jumoke Anifowose, daughter of late governor Adekunle Ajasin,  yesterday raised alarm of plans to kidnap her in a bid to put the party in disarray before the day of the election.

The party also said that one of its members, Isaac Odilu was killed by political thugs at Ute in Ose council area of the state during the botched polls last week Saturday.

Anifowose said the deceased was macheted to death by thugs and that the Police Divisional Police Officer, DPO, who was reported to have ignored them because his relation led those that killed the party member.

She called on the police to bring to book the killers of Odilu.

Speaking with newsmen in Akure, Anifowose said that the plan to kidnap her was hatched at Owo by leaders of a political party in the state.

According to her, the plan was leaked to her via a text message forwarded to her phone by a politician who is privy to the heinous act of the kidnappers.

The state chairman, however, vowed that she would not be deterred by this and other threat by leaders of other political parties in the state.

Anifowose noted that the party has become a threat to both the ruling Labour Party and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the state.

She expressed worries over the complaints from its members during the botched polls, saying that the party was dissatisfied with the level of security of the electorates in many parts of the state.

According to her, many of the party agents were beaten to a state of coma by thugs of the ruling LP at Imoru and Arimogija Ward 10 while trying to take delivery of voting materials.
