Baywood Golf creates excitement in Ikoyi

In its desire to contribute to the development of the game of golf in Nigeria, Baywood Continental, an Oil and Gas servicing company, has thrown its weight behind sport. Come May 7, therefore, the first in the series of the Baywood Golf tournament will tee off at the highbrow golf section of the Ikoyi club 1938.

The competition which is already the talk within the club is a 36_holes event to be played over two days.
Chris Baywood Ibe, President/CEO of Baywood said the tournament was in line with  the company’s commitment to  the development  of the game of golf in Nigeria.

The debut edition of the tournament will feature top golfers drawn from corporate Nigeria,  the diplomatic community and the public sector. The Baywood Golf tournament which is being co_ordinated by the company’s PR agency, Ashton & Layton, is already creating excitement within the golf circuit.

The management of Baywood Continental Limited has also lined up attractive prizes for grabs at the competition including a Subaru car for winner of the hole_in_one competition.

The Baywood golf tournament is the first event to be played under the leadership of the present captain Frank Gboneme.

A pre_tournament briefing that will herald the maiden edition of the tournament has been fixed for golf section of the Ikoyi club on April 15th.
